Cord-free headphones project ODDIO1 unveiled for iPod shuffle

The ODDIO1 that are being designed for the iPod shuffle is going to give its users more flexibility during workout sessions.

Its design is such that the iPod shuffle from Apple can be easily mounted onto it; thereby lengthy cords will no longer be required.

Jacob Hall and Jeremy Saxton have designed this headphone concept that is already on Kickstarter and expecting production to start quite soon. The main intention behind this device is to give users cord-free and comfortable experience during activities like snowboarding, working out at gyms or running round parks. Bluetooth headsets also might offer similar function but this is a completely different thing.

Inspired in design concept by extensions like armband, the device proves to be a great workout companion. It is made of nylon plastic with a coating of high-grade silicon on both its outer chassis and inner cushion. It will be very simple to connect this accessory to the iPod shuffle just by sliding the device into the slot cut out for it. The buttons also can be easily accessed without having to remove the iPod from the housing.

The device is expected to be priced $35 for single unit, $65 for two, and $95 for three and so on. A limited-edition pack can also be booked with $200. The device is not going to be produced till $45,000 in funds is collected in the coming 54 days. Multiple color combinations pink and black or black and grey and the likes are expected.
