One of the rumors surrounding Apple’s upcoming iPhone 5 is that it will come with a larger screen, at least 4-inches. However, new reports are coming out that that the iPod Touch is also going to sport a larger screen.

Some websites have posted photos of white and black front panels, which they claim belong to the next generation of Apple’s iPod Touch. What the big deal is that the screen measures 4.1-inches diagonally, against the 3.5-inches that all 4 generations of the device have offered till now.

Recently, there have been other reports that claimed that Apple is currently testing 2 different iPhone variants- one of them with a 3.95-inch display.

The iPod Touch is the most popular iPod till date and has been derived from the iPhone itself. Thus, it usually gets the hardware features of the iPhone, including the screen and internal parts, a few months after the iPhone is released. However, this trend was broken when the iPhone 4S was launched, since Apple only added a white version for the iPod Touch and decreased the price of the entry-level model.

Rumors say that Apple is planning to bring certain hardware updates in the coming weeks at its annual developers conference, introducing retooled versions of its notebooks and also the upcoming version of iOS.
