Why iPod touch is a better choice than Nintendo 3DS.Let’s have a look.

Games

Nintendo 3DS does features some of the famous titles like Pokémon and Mario but most of these games costs above $29. iPod touch which run on iOS features over 300000 apps, many of which are games. Most of the iOS games are available at cheap rates and most of them could be available in lite versions
at free of cost.

Hardware

The screen of the Nintendo is of extremely low resolution when compared to Apple iPod touch’s retina display. 3D effect is also not good and can cause headache. The iPod screen is more durable and has a solid built.

Price

The Nintendo 3Ds is available at $169 with a 2 GB SD card while iPod touch features a 8GB storage priced at $199, 32GB for $299, and 64GB for $399.

Controls

iPod touch features a full touch screen, which may cause some difficulty for playing games. Nintendo features a series of buttons and slide pad to provide comfort in gameplay.

Conclusion

Apple’s iPod touch will be a better choice for the children. This may be because of the build quality and numerous choices of low priced games. At first look iPod may seems costly but, eventually you will be saving a lot of bucks over cheap games.

you cannot compare an ipod to the 3DS, they don’t do the same things, the 3DS uses cartridge to play games, plus you get games like mario, zelda, pokemon, super smash bros, metroid, star fox on the 3DS, ipod does not have those games. sure you pay more for the games, but you pay less for the system.

No mobile phone, no Ipod, will ever be be better for gaming, than a dedicated game console. The 3DS plays real games, the Ipod touch plays casual distractions (and porn).

@ Ray T are you living in reality? iPod touch is price higher than a Nintendo 3DS but at the end the amount save can not be compare to the prices of a Nintendo 3DS cartridge, who cares about Super Mario, metroid, Zelda and other Nintendo classics. Nintendo mistake will be relying on those tittles to make money for how long? Remember Sega? Now you see Sonic the hedgehog in every gaming device soon it will be Nintendo, times are changing my friend so are the video game industry.

the iPod touch is great… but cannot be compared to the nintendo 3ds. The iPod may have lots of apps, but even if they’re a 1$ they aren’t real and actual games. Really short ones infact.

Maybe the iPod Touch 4G is better because the Nintendo 3DS sucks

@EyeOpening I’m siding with T rex on this one. If you want a multimedia system, get a iPod. But the 3DS is a dedicated portable game system. They are not interchangeable. I would certainly argue people buy 3DS’s solely to play games and their games offer a longer, more enticing experience than most apps on the iPod. If you want a dedicated music player with games and apps that can entertain you for short amounts of time, get an iPod. I own an iPod and do not own a 3DS, but I almost never use my iPod for games. If I really wanted a gaming system, I would buy a 3DS. Besides, I wouldn’t want my (young) kids playing with an iPod, they too expensive and fragile to take the risk.
