Yale Cleaners using iPod Touch to speed up transaction

Bookmark and Share

Yale Cleaners, a company based at Broken Arrow, has tried to make use of the iPod Touch device in the better way. It uses these devices to collect payments and return the correct set of clothes. Now the company is able to complete its work much faster than it used to to earlier.

This system is using a combination of a software and a recent technology for which licensed has been obtained by the company. This system is created exclusively for the dry-cleaning business in metro Tulsa, as stated by the vice-president of Yale Cleaners, John Rothrock.

The iPod Touches have the PayWare Mobile Enterprise image scanners which help the company people to go through the information of the customers and their order for cleaning and to log down the payments made by the customers.

Before using the system, the company workers had to go outside to the customer’s car then again come inside and look for their orders and again go out to get the credit card, come inside and get them scanned and the payments done. Now with the use of this system, the work is reduced and the workers have to take two trips instead of six.
